Catering Policies

Commons Café is the exclusive caterer for Commons Conference Center. Outside food and drinks are not permitted in conference center.
Catering service fee of 22% and Texas State Sales Tax of 8.25% applies to all catering charges.
Due to health regulations, it is our policy that excess food items from events cannot be removed from the event site.
Catering service can start as early as 7:30am. Any requests to have food/beverage earlier requires prior authorization and will be subject to after-hours staffing fees.
Perishable food can remain in meeting rooms three hours after scheduled service time.
Minimum order of 25 for hot food buffet service.
Menu items and preliminary guest count must be placed three weeks prior to the program.
Final guest count is due one week prior to the program and catered functions are billed based on guaranteed number of attendees.
Final food pricing, beverage pricing and service fee will be finalized three months prior to program, due to volatility in commodity pricing.
Two-hour Hosted Bar Service available with TABC certified bartenders.

The Commons Conference Center is happy to accommodate a variety of dietary needs whenever possible. Please review our guidelines below:

Vegetarian Options: A vegetarian entrée option is available by request at no additional charge.
Vegan, Gluten-Free, and Other Special Requests: Meals prepared with vegan, gluten-free, or other specialty ingredients are available for an additional +$4 per person.
Halal: At this time, we are unable to provide halal proteins.
Advance Notice: To ensure proper accommodations, all dietary requests must be submitted with your final catering selections (3 weeks prior to the event).
