Catering Policies

  • Commons Café is the exclusive caterer for Commons Conference Center. Outside food and drinks are not permitted in conference center. 
  • Catering service fee of 22% and Texas State Sales Tax of 8.25% applies to all catering charges.
  • Due to health regulations, it is our policy that excess food items from events cannot be removed from the event site.
  • Catering service can start as early as 7:30am. Any requests to have food/beverage earlier requires prior authorization and will be subject to after-hours staffing fees.
  • Perishable food can remain in meeting rooms three hours after scheduled service time. 
  • Minimum order of 25 for hot food buffet service.
  • Menu items and preliminary guest count must be placed ten business days prior to the program.
  • Final guest count is due three business days prior to the program and catered functions are billed based on guaranteed number of attendees.
  • Final food pricing, beverage pricing and service fee will be finalized three months prior to program, due to volatility in commodity pricing. 
  • Two-hour Hosted Bar Service available with TABC certified bartenders.
