Who We Are
The Commons Conference Center is located on the J.J. Pickle Research Campus at The University of Texas at Austin. It originally started out as part of the Balcones Research Campus, which was later renamed to honor longtime U.S. Congressman J.J. “Jake” Pickle.
Today, we’re proud to be a go-to spot for the UT community as well as local businesses, state agencies, and associations. The Commons offers updated meeting spaces, advanced technology, and great dining options—all designed to make your events run smoothly and comfortably.
What really sets us apart is our exceptional team. From planning support to on-site tech help, our staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and always ready to assist. Plus, our top-notch catering team delivers fresh, delicious meals that make any meeting or event even better.
